Course Overview
Attachment is something which we all experience attachment throughout life and is individual and unique to each of us, linking our sense of identity and belonging, being loved and loving others and our personalities into adulthood.
Attachment is the deep connection which is established between a child and their parents or care providers during the early stages of development and has a huge impact on child development and in some circumstances, lead to reactive or unhealthy attachments.
This training course explains the meaning of attachment, loss and resilience, considers different attachment styles and identifies possible causes of reactive or unhealthy attachments.
This training course considers the impact of adverse early life experiences (trauma) and how this can link into attachment and reaction factors to loss and separation, including latent vulnerability.
This training course identifies ways of working with children to build trust, create positive opportunities, strengthen resilience and develop healthy attachments.
